Chapter 3 – The Fight Of Faith

Now then you need to learn how to fight the fight of faith once you have repented of your wrongdoing so that there are no “open” doors to the enemy. Satan has a right to bring confusion and destruction if you have any “open” doors of sin without repentance. We must realize that God moves according to our prayers. You don’t pray; He doesn’t move. Why? Faith only grows to the degree that you seek the Lord, wait for Him and then receive from Him. This is all because God knows it is only with the “shield of faith” that you can withstand the fierce attacks and fiery darts of the enemy. The devil has one thought and purpose in mind and that is to kill you, steal from you (spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally) and last to destroy you. If God can bring forth faith in you, He knows, and you will know, the battle has been won.

We come to understand this as we read Ephesians 6:11-18,

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, stand. Stand, therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance.”

We must learn to war in the spirit to be qualified to enter into God’s army. Let me encourage you to enter into God’s army. A person will either be crushed by this training if he doesn’t come to trust and believe his God, or he will rise up in spirit and become a warrior for Jesus Christ, a general in God’s army. The Lord is not coming back for a bride who is emotionally scarred, battered, devastated and giving up. No, He is coming back for a bride who is fighting, who knows the power of his/her God and walks in it, who understands that all our chastening in the end yields the fruit of righteousness. God chastens us for our good that we may be partakers of His holiness. This bride is one who says, “Come, Lord Jesus. I am ready because You have trained me to reign.”

Oh Hallelujah! Let us glory in our afflictions, as it is only momentary because in the end, the glory that we shall enter into will far exceed all that we have had to endure for a season.

“Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

DON’T GIVE UP—EVER. Fight the good fight of faith and enter in to all that our Father has prepared for those who love Him.
